Anaheim, CA – One Killed in Fatal DUI Collision on CA-91
Anaheim, CA (February 1, 2022) – On Sunday, January 30, an individual was killed in a fatal DUI collision in Anaheim.
California Highway Patrol officials confirmed that the accident happened in the westbound lanes of CA-91 (91 Freeway) near the area of Brookhurst Street. Police found that a 2013 Lincoln was traveling in the area when the driver collided with a 2004 Ford, causing the Ford to roll over. From there, the Lincoln continued onward and slammed into a 2012 Toyota. The vehicles sustained severe damages due to the collision.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Ford was rushed to a nearby hospital but was tragically pronounced dead while there.
The driver of the Lincoln, identified as a 22-year-old man, was arrested by police. His charges include vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
Due to the severity of the collision, both directions of the highway were blocked for an extended period of time.
Orange County officials continue their investigation into the accident.
