Fatal Car Accidents in California

Los Angeles and the surrounding area are one of the busiest and most dangerous metropolitans in the country. Many motorists speed in California and break other traffic rules, adding to the dangers found on the roadways. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), more than 3,500 people were killed in fatal car accidents in California in 2018. The trend shows that serious and fatal accidents are increasing, and even increased nationally during the pandemic. There are many reasons for accidents to happen in California, such as texting while driving, speeding, impaired driving, or simply failing to yield or stop at traffic lights and stop signs. More than one-third of all road fatalities in the US are caused by reckless driving.
