Capistrano Beach, CA (February 13, 2023) – A multi-vehicle collision in Capistrano Beach on Sunday, February 12, left one person dead, and two others were injured. 

The deadly accident was reported on the San Diego Freeway south of Camino De Estrella at around 2 a.m. Three or more vehicles collided on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, and one person reportedly suffered fatal injuries. Two other victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

The accident involved an overturned vehicle. No further information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in progress.
