Fullerton, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on 57 FWY
Fullerton, CA (October 14, 2022) – On Wednesday night, October 12, a four-vehicle crash was reported in Fullerton that caused several injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the Orange (57) Freeway near Nutwood Avenue when a sedan and SUV collided in the middle lanes of the highway. Two other vehicles were unable to avoid the cars that first collided and crashed into them as well. The vehicles were significantly damaged as a result of the accident and rendered disabled.
Emergency personnel was dispatched to the scene where they found multiple people with serious injuries. Several ambulances were requested to transport those that were injured to local hospitals for emergency medical treatment. At this time, there is no information regarding the number of people injured in the accident, or the details of their condition.
The accident caused much disruption in the area. Traffic was diverted while crews, which included the firefighters, paramedics, police, and tow trucks helped people from their cars, tended to injuries, and cleaned up the wreckage. The accident caused the area to be shut down for a few hours. Three of the vehicles required tow trucks to be removed from the scene.
The authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
