Garden Grove, CA – One Killed in Car Crash Garden Grove (22) FWY

Garden Grove, CA (November 27, 2022) – On Thursday morning, November 24, a serious accident was reported in Garden Grove that tragically killed one person.

According to officials, the accident occurred around 3:25 a.m. on the eastbound Garden Grove Freeway near Bristol Street. According to police, the accident happened when two vehicles, a Hyundai and another vehicle, crossed into each other’s paths and collided at full speed for unknown reasons. The impact of the crash severely damaged both of the involved vehicles.

Emergency personnel was called to the scene. Firefighters and paramedics quickly responded to the accident and worked to help the victims and tend to their injuries. Despite the paramedic’s efforts, one person sustained catastrophic injuries and died at the scene of the accident. The police have not yet released the identity of the person that was killed in the accident. There is no information regarding whether anyone else was injured in the accident.

The accident delayed local traffic for many hours as crews tended to the victims, conducted their investigation, and cleared the accident. The Garden Grove Freeway near the Bristol Street exit had lanes closed following the crash.

The police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
