Huntington Beach, CA – Fatal Accident at Newland St & Yorktown Blvd Intersection
Huntington Beach, CA (March 8, 2022) – On Monday morning, March 7, two teen brothers were killed in a fatal accident in Huntington Beach.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Newland Street and Yorktown Boulevard. Police confirmed that a white Ford F-250 was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection at the same time as a city-owned Chevrolet Silverado. The two vehicles collided with each other and the F-250 struck a pole.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Both of the teenage boys inside the pickup truck were rushed to local hospitals with severe injuries. They were both tragically pronounced dead within hours. The driver of the city pickup truck, identified as a 35-year-old male, was not hurt but remained at the scene. It is not known if he was working at the time of the accident.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time.
