Car Accident Statistics in California

Driving in California may be exciting, thanks to the state’s picturesque roads and thoroughfares, but it also comes with major hazards. It’s no surprise that hundreds of thousands of people are injured or killed in vehicle accidents every year in California.

In actuality, there were 3,854 fatalities and 165,978 injuries reported from automobile accidents in California in 2022, according to the California Highway Patrol. In addition, last year, 27% of all incidents in the Golden State were the result of rear-end collisions. Twenty percent of collisions involved what is called a broadside collision (sometimes known as a “T-bone”).

Tragic auto accidents are too commonplace in the Golden State. Dealing with the aftermath of a severe collision is one of the most horrific things someone can go through.

As the victim, you may be concerned about how this will impact your loved ones and if you will fully recover. To make matters worse, while you attempt to focus on your recovery, the insurance company for the party at fault in your crash may be pressing you to sign papers or offer a statement to take a portion of the fault. You may be unemployed and struggling to make ends meet.
