Irvine, CA – One Injured in Apartment Building Car Crash on Jamboree Rd

Irvine, CA (March 4, 2022) – One person was injured in a car crash that involved an apartment building on Friday morning in Irvine, March 4.

According to local officials, the accident happened at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Diploma. When police were dispatched to the scene, they found that a Honda CR-V was traveling in the area when the driver lost control of the vehicle and plowed into the corner of an apartment building. The vehicle and the apartment only sustained minor damage as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of two passengers in the vehicle, identified only as an adult male, was rushed to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. A woman in the vehicle became aggressive with officers and was taken away in a patrol vehicle.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time following the collision. This led to delays in the area for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
