Irvine, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash at Barranca Pkwy & Jamboree Rd

Irvine, CA (April 30, 2022) – A woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that took place at an intersection in Irvine on Friday morning, April 29.

According to officials, the accident happened around 12:12 a.m. at the intersection of Barranca Parkway and Jamboree Road. Police discovered that two sedans entered the intersection at the same time, colliding forcefully with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the crash.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A female driver, who has not yet been identified, was trapped in her vehicle and had to be freed by fire crews. She was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The second driver did not have injuries.

Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues. Police will update with more information as it is available.
