Fatal Car Accidents in California

Southern California is one of the busiest places in the country and has some of the most dangerous roadways as a result. More than 3,500 people die in traffic accidents in California each year. Accidents may happen for many different reasons, however, over the years driver negligence has become a serious issue afflicting not only the Golden State but the country as well. In California, more than one-third of all traffic fatalities are caused by negligent drivers. Driver negligence may include texting while driving, speeding, or impaired driving. Reckless driving dramatically increases a driver’s risk of being in an accident and causing great harm to someone else.

When your loved one is killed by another person’s negligence a wrongful death claim can be filed on their behalf. Oftentimes the loss of a family member causes a significant financial burden to the surviving family members. Financial burdens incurred by the surviving family may include medical bills, funeral costs, and lost future earnings. While no amount of money could ever replace your loved one’s presence in your life, a wrongful death suit can help pay for the bills and other financial pressures that are piling up. An experienced wrongful death attorney can walk you through the process of filing a claim and help you handle these important matters.
