Pedestrian Accident Deaths in Orange County

In California, an increasing number of pedestrians are hit by motor cars, making it highly dangerous to be a pedestrian, especially as the population of the Golden State continues to grow. Sadly, this is a growing worry in California, leading to several people being badly hurt or killed on the state’s roadways.

In California, nearly 900 pedestrians were killed in car crashes in 2018, a 25% increase from 2014. Pedestrians in California should be aware of the potential dangers and be watchful around drivers., but the inability of a pedestrian to avoid a major collision with a car makes them more vulnerable to serious injuries and death.

Still, pedestrians can maintain their safety by taking a few precautions and according to a few safety tips, like wearing reflective clothing, walking on the sidewalk, paying attention to their surroundings, and obeying traffic laws.

Thankfully, you might be entitled to submit a claim for compensation if a loved one was wounded or killed in a pedestrian accident. Filing a claim against the person responsible for the death of your loved one may provide closure to their passing and lessen the financial burdens caused by their loss. Since filing a claim is subject to a limitation period, you should contact an attorney as soon as possible.
