Car Accidents in California

California is home to some of the busiest and most dangerous roadways in the country. Accidents happen for many reasons, but reckless and negligent driving is often at the top of the list of main causes of accidents. In California, drivers often speed and break other traffic rules to decrease their commute times or for various other reasons. Negligent driving can also include, distracted driving, texting while driving, impaired driving, speeding, drivers who fall asleep behind the wheel, or simply drivers who fail to abide by traffic rules, such as stopping at traffic lights and stop signs or failing to yield. When drivers are engaging in negligent and risky behaviors, the chances of an accident increase dramatically.

An accident causes significant disruptions to your normal life, including new financial worries. Especially if you’re injured in this accident, you may be worried about who will pay for your medical care, expenses, and lost wages if you can’t work for a period of time.

If you were in an accident caused by someone else’s careless or reckless behaviors, it’s important to hold the at-fault person responsible for their actions. The negligent party may be required to help pay for your medical bills including any future medical expenses related to your injuries, pain, suffering, lost wages, vehicle repair or replacement, and other non-economic damages you’ve suffered.

If you or a family member were in a car accident caused by someone else’s negligence you should speak to an experienced car accident lawyer right away, who can walk you through the process of what is to come and help you understand your rights and what compensation you may be entitled to for your suffering.
