Oceano, CA (August 28, 2022) – On Thursday afternoon, August 25, a head-on crash was reported in Oceano.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. on Highway 1, near South Halcyon Road. The accident happened when a truck carrying a trailer entered an intersection and collided head-on with an SUV traveling in the opposite direction. The force of the impact disabled the vehicles and caused the SUV to block the intersection.
The accident caused disruptions in the area. Traffic was diverted while crews helped people from their cars, tended to injuries, and cleaned up the wreckage.
The authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and the events leading up to the collision.
