Southern California is one of the most populated regions in the nation and has some of the most congested roadways. Accidents can happen anywhere, but they are more likely to happen in places with lots of other drivers, and therefore big cities and urban areas see a higher percentage of crashes than rural areas. Accidents also happen more frequently during busier times of the day when there are more cars commuting on the road. The early morning rush and the afternoon after work are more common times for accidents to occur. More than 3,500 people die in traffic accidents each year in California, and this number is increasing each year.
When your loved one is killed by someone else’s negligent actions a wrongful death claim can be filed against the other party. There are two requirements for pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit:
Oftentimes the loss of a close family member causes a great financial burden. These burdens may include medical bills, funeral costs, and lost future earnings. While no amount of money could ever replace your loved one’s presence in your life, a wrongful death suit can help pay for the bills and other financial pressures that are piling up.
