Pomona, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Accident with Patrol Car at Mission Blvd & S Main St
Pomona, CA (August 27, 2022) – On Wednesday, August 24, an accident was reported in Pomona involving a pedestrian and a patrol car that tragically killed one person.
According to reports from the Pomona police, the accident occurred in the vicinity of Mission Boulevard and S Main Street just after 6 a.m. A pedestrian was crossing the street when they were suddenly hit by a patrol car that was out on a call.
Paramedics were immediately called and arrived on the scene within minutes and assessed the pedestrian’s injuries and provided medical care. The pedestrian sustained very severe injuries. Sadly, the person’s injuries were too serious, and the person passed away. There is no indication that anyone else was injured as a result of the accident.
Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
