Riverside, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash Leads to Injuries on SR-91

Riverside, CA (May 28, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a hit-and-run accident that took place on a major highway in Riverside on Saturday night, May 28.

According to California Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of SR-91 around the area of Main Street. A vehicle was traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when it struck a second vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle then continued onward without stopping to check on those in the other vehicle.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were hurt in the accident. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
