Santa Ana, CA – Car Accident Leads to Injuries on SR-57 Near Chapman Ave
Santa Ana, CA (May 20, 2022) – Authorities reported that a car accident with injuries took place on a highway around 8:52 p.m. on Friday night, May 20.
According to California Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of SR-57 around the area of Chapman Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they collided with one another due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Responders, including Santa Ana fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
