Santa Ana, CA – Head-on Collision with Injuries at Raitt St & Monta Vista Ave
Santa Ana, CA (April 18, 2022) – Several people sustained injuries as a result of a head-on collision that took place at an intersection in Santa Ana on Sunday morning, April 17.
According to Santa Ana Police, the accident happened around 10:14 a.m. at the intersection of Raitt Street and Monta Vista Avenue. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other after entering the intersection at the same time. Two of the vehicles sustained severe front-end damage. They have since been identified as a BMW sedan and a Nissan SUV.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of five people were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
