Santa Ana, CA – Auto Accident with Injuries Reported on 55 FWY
Santa Ana, CA (January 14, 2022) – On Thursday afternoon, January 12, an accident occurred in Santa Ana that resulted in injuries and traffic delays.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. on the southbound Costa Mesa 55 Freeway just north of MacArthur Boulevard. The accident occurred when two vehicles, a Mazda sedan and a Volvo SUV, collided for unknown reasons as they were traveling on the freeway. The accident caused significant damage to the vehicles and caused significant disruption to the area. The Mazda had major front-end damage.
Paramedics were called to the scene to help those hurt in the accident. It is reported that at least one person sustained injuries in the accident, but there is limited information at this time regarding the extent of their injuries or if they were transferred to a hospital.
