Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Car Accident on SR 55 Near Katella Ave Ends in Injuries
Santa Ana, CA (June 10, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle accident on a busy highway in the Santa Ana area on Friday, June 9.
According to authorities with the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 10:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of State Route 55 near Katella Avenue. At least two drivers were traveling in the left lanes of the highway when they crashed for reasons that are yet unknown.
Several emergency responders, including paramedics, firefighters, and others, were sent to the area to assist those involved. CHP troopers reported an unknown number of injuries, but how many victims were sent to nearby hospitals for treatment is unclear. Their current conditions also remain unknown.
