Driving in Southern California is one of the most difficult and dangerous things to undertake in the United States. Due to the constant entry of millions of cars onto the roadways, traffic bottlenecks and accidents are commonplace. Southern California’s easy accessibility is largely due to the region’s extensive network of highways. This is a common means of transportation for everyday commutes because of the higher speeds that can be attained on the highway.
Because drivers have less time to react to rapid changes or crises at faster speeds on large roads and interstates, the chance of accidents with significant casualties is increased. Distracted driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while tired, following too closely, and breaking traffic regulations are other major contributors to car accidents in the Golden State.
