Santa Ana, CA – One Killed in Fatal Accident on SR-57 Near Katella Ave
Santa Ana, CA (April 24, 2022) – One person lost their life in a fatal accident that took place on a major roadway in Santa Ana on Sunday evening, April 24.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 7:16 p.m. in the southbound lanes of SR-57 around the area of Katella Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
