Santa Ana, CA – Three Injured in Rollover Accident at S Main St & E Alton Ave

Santa Ana, CA (June 17, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a rollover accident that took place at an intersection in Santa Ana on Thursday night, June 16.

According to Santa Ana officials, the accident happened around 11 p.m. at the intersection of South Main Street and East Alton Avenue. Police confirmed that a driver was in a 2001 Ford Mustang at high speeds. Officers began to pursue the Mustang but the vehicle slammed into a palm tree, causing the vehicle to roll over. The vehicle was badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two passengers, as well as the driver, were seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time following the crash. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on charges of speeding and evading.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
