Santa Clarita, CA (October 17, 2022) – On Friday evening, October 14, a crash was reported in Santa Clarita that left multiple people with injuries.
According to officials, the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5, just south of Calgrove Boulevard. The accident happened when a Toyota sedan and a Ford SUV collided. The collision caused significant damage to the involved vehicles, including major damage to the front of the Toyota.
Multiple emergency agencies were called to the scene, including California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and paramedics. Officials reported that six people were injured in the accident, which may include at least one child. Four ambulances were requested to transfer six people to local hospitals. Details concerning the extent of the injuries of the parties involved have not been released at this time.
The accident blocked two lanes of traffic and caused disruptions in the area. Traffic was slowed while crews helped people from their cars, tended to injuries, and cleaned up the wreckage. Paramedics transported four people to area hospitals for further treatment.
