Stanton, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at W Cerritos Ave & Dale St
Stanton, CA (March 5, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident at an intersection in Stanton.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of West Cerritos Avenue and Dale Street around 8:45 p.m. Police confirmed that an elderly woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling through the intersection. The vehicle, identified as a dark green vehicle, fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, identified as a 68-year-old woman, was rushed to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. She was tragically pronounced dead while there.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time following the collision. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident as of yet.
