Stanton, CA – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash at Beach Blvd & Lampson Ave
Stanton, CA (January 19, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash that took place at an intersection on Sunday morning, January 16.
Orange County officials confirmed that the accident happened around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue. A woman in her 50s was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene.
Numerous responders, including Orange County paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital with traumatic injuries. She was pronounced dead while there.
The vehicle that fled the scene was described as an 07-09 Toyota Camry of an unknown color. The roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
Police did not say if they found the responsible driver. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
