Westminster, CA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Westminster Blvd
Westminster, CA (March 15, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in Westminster on Monday afternoon, March 14.
According to Westminster officials, the accident happened at 12:38 p.m. at 8600 Westminster Boulevard. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when their vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking across the street. The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other Westminster responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, identified as a 70-year-old male, was taken to UCI Medical Center with severe injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead while there an hour later.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
