Fatal Car Accidents in California

Every day many accidents happen in California. More than 400,000 vehicle crashes occur each year in the Golden State. Southern California, in particular, is one of the busiest and most dangerous metropolitans in the state and country. More than 3,500 people die in traffic-related accidents each year in California. Traffic-related fatalities have increased steadily over the years, and 2022 is sadly going to be another record year. There are many reasons accidents happen in California. Research indicates that more than one-third of all road fatalities in the US are caused by reckless driving.

Crashes that occur on freeways are some of the most catastrophic types of accidents that can occur. As the car spins and rolls after a collision, it wreaks havoc on the occupants of the vehicles involved. The occupants can suffer severe head trauma, concussions, broken bones, back and neck injuries, severe cuts, and lost limbs. Victims may also become paralyzed or killed as a result.

Losing a loved one is never easy to deal with. When someone is killed by another person’s negligence, the next of kin may file a wrongful death claim on their behalf. In addition to losing their loved one, families often incur great financial losses as well, after losing a loved one, both immediately and in the future. These losses may include outstanding medical bills, funeral costs, and lost future earnings. An experienced wrongful death attorney can walk you through the process of filing a claim and help you recover compensation for your loss.
