Westminster, CA (March 26, 2023) – A multi-vehicle accident that injured a handful of victims on Sunday evening, March 26, took place in Orange County’s Westminster region, per local officers.
At about 8:50 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, an accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of State Road 91 near Interstate 5 southbound. CHP officers say the collision was reported by witnesses right before the Tustin exit and included two to three vehicles.
Paramedics were then sent to the accident scene to treat the injured victims. However, there is presently no information available on the number of injured people or the extent of their injuries.
Officials are now investigating the cause of the accident and the circumstances leading up to it. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
Our thoughts are now with the injured victims and their loved ones.
Traffic accidents happen every day in California, which is obvious given that the majority of commuters must utilize a car to get about the Golden State. Also, California is one of the most dangerous states in the U.S. to drive inside and has over 27 million registered cars. It goes without saying that long commutes and jams occur daily due to the heavy traffic and extreme congestion on the highways.
Undoubtedly, there is a good chance that Californian drivers will be engaged in a traffic accident. Nonetheless, despite the fact that collisions happen often, nobody ever plans on being engaged in one. Drivers may be able to lower their overall risk by decreasing some of the most frequent accident causes.
However, if drivers exercise caution and care on the road, almost all of these threats may be avoided. A legal duty of care requires every driver on the road to drive defensively and safely to avoid harm to other motorists. But when an accident happens, this legal duty of care has likely been breached, and reckless drivers may be held liable for a range of losses.
