Anaheim, CA – Female Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on SR-91
Anaheim, CA (January 26, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that happened on a major highway in Anaheim on Tuesday night, January 25.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of SR-91 around the area of the transition road close to 10:10 p.m. A female pedestrian was allegedly running across the street in the area when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. Several vehicles came to a stop at the scene, though it is not known if all of the vehicles hit the pedestrian. One of the vehicles, identified as a Nissan Quest, was extensively damaged and it appeared to have struck the victim.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Paramedics found the female pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, down in the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
All eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
