Huntington Beach, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Beach Blvd & Yorktown Ave

Huntington Beach, CA (January 25, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian crash that took place at an intersection in Huntington Beach on Monday evening, January 24.

According to local officials, the accident happened around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Yorktown Avenue. A female was attempting to cross the street in the area of Yorktown Avenue. She was suddenly struck by a Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling in the area. The 58-year-old driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was badly injured as a result of the collision. She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
