Our 66 year old female client was walking in a grassy area adjacent to her parking stall at a local mall when she stepped into a hidden 8 inch depression in the grass caused by the removal of a tree. The mall was aware of the 8 inch deep depression. The negligence on behalf of the mall’s property management company caused our client to suffer severe fractures in both of her ankles forcing her to undergo surgery and eventually forcing her retirement from the Post Office.
