Capistrano, CA – Injuries Occur After Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-5 at Avenida Vista Hermosa
Capistrano, CA (July 29, 2023) – Following a multi-vehicle collision, all southbound lanes of Interstate 5 close to the Avenida Vista Hermosa were shut down on Thursday morning, July 27.
All except the right two southbound lanes of the highway were closed after a serious collision was reported to the Capistrano office of the California Highway Patrol at roughly 11:15 a.m. By about 11:30 a.m., CHP troopers had requested assistance from local paramedics, who evaluated at least one injured person at the scene.
Crash Investigation Review Officer Joe Emerson said that police were still investigating but planning to release further details in the coming weeks.
