Long Beach, CA – Motorcyclist Hit & Killed By Metro Train on 8th St

Long Beach, CA (March 21, 2024) – A motorcyclist died Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a Metro train in Long Beach, authorities said.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. near the Long Beach Boulevard and the 8th Street grade crossing. According to a Metro statement, a Metro A Line train heading southbound collided with the motorcyclist, though further details weren’t immediately released. The Long Beach Police Department is conducting an investigation in the meantime.
