San Juan Capistrano, CA (July 8, 2023) – On Saturday, July 8, around 1:55 p.m. in the afternoon, a two-car collision happened in the San Juan Capistrano area, resulting in injuries to at least one person.
Troopers with the California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at the exit for Crown Valley Parkway from the southbound lanes of Interstate 5. Two or three drivers were traveling on the highway when an apparent rear-end collision and subsequent vehicle fire occurred.
The police report that several ambulances and fire trucks were sent to the site shortly thereafter. That said, the present conditions of the victims hurt in the collision are unknown.
No new information has been made public while the inquiry into the accident continues. Any witnesses were asked to come forward by the CHP.
