Santa Ana, CA – Two Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Crash on South St at State College Blvd
Santa Ana, CA (August 13, 2023) – After nearly hitting a house on Friday night, a motorist fled on foot following a hit-and-run collision, leaving a passenger stuck in their vehicle.
At around 9:45 p.m., police were called to the scene of an accident on East South Street near South State College Boulevard. Initial reports indicate that a black 2008 Acura TL had crashed down an alleyway when rescuers arrived, trapping a male passenger inside.
It appears the driver of the car left the scene on foot, but police were able to track him down. It took roughly 15 minutes for firefighters to rescue the entrapped passenger.
EMTs transferred both the driver and the passenger to an area hospital. However, no immediate updates on their condition or the cause of the collision were released publicly.
