Santa Ana, CA – Victims Hurt in SR 57 Car Accident at Katella
Santa Ana, CA (November 19, 2023) – On Sunday evening, November 19, at least two vehicles collided on a roadway in the Santa Ana region, causing injuries to a handful of people.
The California Highway Patrol reports that at around 7:00 p.m., an accident took place in northbound traffic on State Route 57 at Katella Avenue. Though specific details surrounding the cause of the collision were not released publicly, two drivers potentially merged in the right lanes of the highway after the on-ramp and collided as traffic in the area slowed.
Paramedics, firemen, and others from the emergency services rushed to the scene to aid the injured. Victim injuries were apparently reported by CHP officers; however, it is unclear how many patients were sent to local hospitals for treatment. The victims’ current conditions is also unknown in the interim.
The investigation into the accident continues, but no further details have been made public.
