Orange County locals are getting out of their vehicles and taking advantage of the region’s beautiful weather and scenery by walking more. Sadly, pedestrians have a greater fatality rate in car accidents than drivers and passengers. As one of the most hazardous states for pedestrians, California sees far too many pedestrians wounded in motor accidents. There were 7127 pedestrian deaths in California between 2008 and 2019. The total death toll in California rose by 34.4% during this time period, while the death toll for pedestrians rose by 34.5% during this time period.

And according to the information given by the Orange County coroner’s office, 375 pedestrians were killed by vehicles in Orange County throughout the five years concluding on the final day of 2021. According to data on pedestrian accidents in Orange County, those who are out and about near major thoroughfares are extremely vulnerable to serious injury or death.

Because they are so much more susceptible to catastrophic injury or death, pedestrians need to be aware of and cautious around automobiles at all times. Pedestrians can reduce their risk of being involved in an accident by taking some simple measures and adhering to some basic safety guidelines.

However, if a loved one was harmed or died in a pedestrian accident, you may be entitled to file a claim for financial compensation. Taking legal action against the at-fault party can help you get some answers about your loved one’s death and relieve some of the financial strain imposed by the tragedy. You should consult an attorney as soon as possible since insurance companies and state law set severe filing deadlines.
