Santa Ana, CA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on SR-55 Near MacArthur Blvd
Santa Ana, CA (May 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place on a Santa Ana highway on Tuesday night, May 10.
Santa Ana officials responded to the scene of the crash around 8:56 p.m. in the southbound lanes of SR-55 around the area of MacArthur Boulevard. Though the circumstances leading up to the collision are not entirely known, it is believed that several vehicles collided in the southbound lanes. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged in the accident.
Fire crews, paramedics, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several victims allegedly sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
All southbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
Police did not say if anybody was charged for their role in the collision. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
