Anaheim, CA – Injury Accident in EB Lanes of SR-91 Near Coal Canyon Rd

Anaheim, CA (May 26, 2022) – Authorities and emergency personnel were called to the scene of an accident on a highway on Thursday evening, May 26.

According to California Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened around 7:44 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of SR-91 around the area of Coal Canyon Road. Several vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when they became involved in a forceful collision with one another on the highway due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed away from the scene.

One or more victims were allegedly injured as a result of the collision. Paramedics treated the victims on the scene who sustained injuries in the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were then taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene to ensure that traffic could flow as normal in the area.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
