Anaheim, CA - Three Dead, Several Hospitalized After Rollover Crash on 10 Fwy at Haugen Lehmann Way

Anaheim, CA – Three Dead, Several Injured in Rollover Crash on 10 Fwy at Haugen Lehmann Way

Anaheim, CA (May 14, 2023) – On Sunday morning, a vehicle overturned on the 10 Freeway between Anaheim and Palm Springs, killing three members of the same family.

Several other victims also suffered injuries as a result of the accident. According to Jason Montez of the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Sunday morning at about 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Haugen Lehmann Way.

According to Montez, a black Tesla was riding alongside a red Chevy Suburban on the eastbound 10 Freeway when the driver of the Suburban swerved into oncoming traffic. The latter skidded out of control when the Tesla’s front left side collided with the Suburban’s rear right side. After the SUV collided with the barrier, Montez stated it flipped over.

Two individuals were ejected when the SUV initially crashed through the barrier, and both of them were declared deceased at the crash site. As the Suburban overturned, three more people were thrown out.

Montez said three members of the same family, all traveling from Anaheim, were killed: a 10-year-old, a 12-year-old, and a woman in her thirties.

Three other persons were critically injured and hospitalized, but officials estimate that up to 10 people total were hurt in the incident.

The roadway was closed into the late afternoon, though CHP troopers are still continuing their investigation. No further details were released.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the deceased victims. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families.

You should always be checked out by a doctor or hospital after being in a car accident, even if you don’t think you’re seriously hurt. A minor injury may significantly impact a person’s quality of life if it is not treated properly. Unfortunately, many individuals who have been injured in accidents choose not to seek medical attention. They can’t file a claim for personal injuries and be compensated fairly for what they went through.

Obviously, an accident victim’s health may suffer as a result of their injuries. Minor injuries, such as cuts and bruises, are very typical in the aftermath of an accident, but more severe injuries that can be directly linked to the incident are unusual. If you or a loved one has been wounded in a car accident and you want to know whether you have a case for compensation, don’t hesitate to contact us.
