Fatal Car Accidents in California

Southern California is one of the most densely populated regions in the nation and has some of the most dangerous roadways as a result. In California, more than 3,500 people die in traffic accidents each year. Accidents overwhelmingly occur due to a driver’s negligent actions, which may include texting while driving, speeding, or impaired driving. Research indicates that more than one-third of all road fatalities in the US are caused by speeding drivers. Reckless driving dramatically increases a driver’s risk of being in an accident and causing great harm to someone else.

When your loved one is killed by someone else’s negligent actions a wrongful death claim can be filed on their behalf. Oftentimes the loss of a family member causes a financial burden to the surviving family members. These may include medical bills, funeral costs, and lost future earnings. While no amount of money could ever replace your loved one’s presence in your life, a wrongful death suit can help pay for the bills and other financial pressures that are piling up. An experienced wrongful death attorney can walk you through the process of filing a claim and help you handle these important matters.

Losing a loved one is an emotional time in your life. After an accident, many necessary matters need to be handled, including legal matters, which are generally the last thing anyone wants to deal with. Legal matters should not be put off though because there are short deadlines for filing a claim with the insurance company that you don’t want to miss.

If you have lost somebody you love in a fatal car accident, speak with a legal advocate that you can trust. Please do not hesitate to contact a Brea wrongful death attorney by calling (888) 539-3154 to see how we can help you.
