Santa Ana, CA – Car Accident Causes Injuries on I-5 at 4th St
Santa Ana, CA (August 21, 2023) – On Monday, August 21, at least two vehicles collided on the northbound side of Interstate 5 through Santa Ana, causing victim injuries and hour-long traffic delays.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 8:05 p.m. in the left northbound lanes of I-5 near the off-ramp to 4th Street.
Shortly after the incident, emergency medical services were sent to the area to assist the victims; however, at this time, it is unclear how many people were hurt or how severe their injuries were. Ambulances were dispatched just before 7:45 p.m., and one appeared to have been en route to a local medical center at the top of the hour.
However, the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated, and CHP troopers have disclosed no other details.
