Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision in SB Lanes of SR-55 Leads to Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (March 16, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a major roadway in Santa Ana.

According to Santa Ana officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of SR-55 around the area of Macarthur Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided with each other due to one or more losing control. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
