Santa Ana, CA – One Dead in Pedestrian Collision on Ross St Near Broadway
Santa Ana, CA (July 4, 2023) – On Monday, a person crossing the street in Santa Ana was fatally struck by a vehicle, according to officers with the Santa Ana Police Department.
At around 12:50 p.m., SAPD officers were notified of a car accident that had just occurred one block west of Broadway, in the 200 block of North Ross Street. When police arrived, they discovered a victim had been hit by a car.
The victim, whose identity was withheld due to privacy reasons, was declared deceased at the scene.
The vehicle driver stayed at the site and helped the police with their investigation. Alcohol is not suspected of having had a role in the crash, though Investigator L. Bao with the SAPD requested that anybody with information regarding this crash contact him.
The investigation is continuing in the interim, and no further details have been released to the public since earlier this week.
