Santa Ana, CA (April 3, 2024) – Orange County firefighters found a victim inside a house in Santa Ana after putting out a fire Wednesday morning, April 3, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to the 2000 block of North Bush Street just before 2:55 a.m. and found a single-story home on fire, OCFA said. Video from the agency showed the home fully involved, with fire coming out of the roof and a back entrance.

The house sits just south of the 5 Freeway and a block east of Main Street. Not immediately known whether anyone else was inside the house when the fire broke out. Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Further information about the deceased victim was not known, and the cause and origin of the fire were under investigation.

We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased victim’s family.
