Santa Ana, CA – Woman Dies in Head-on Collision on Fairview St

Santa Ana, CA (April 2, 2024) – Late on Sunday in Santa Ana, a head-on collision resulted in an area woman’s death.

According to a statement from the Santa Ana Police Department, officers were dispatched to the location of the incident, which was close to Fairview Street and 5th Street, at around 9:55 p.m. after learning of the crash. When they arrived, they discovered a head-on collision had occurred involving a Nissan Versa and a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Orange County Fire Authority rescuers took the woman to a local hospital, where authorities said she subsequently passed away from her injuries. Two others in the Chevrolet were not seriously hurt, but it’s unclear if they were also hospitalized. Investigators are still determining the facts behind the incident. As of now, the cause of the wreck remains unknown, though anyone with further details is encouraged to get in touch with SAPD.
