Yorba Linda, CA – DUI Driver Causes Car Accident at Imperial Hwy & Casa Loma Ave

Yorba Linda, CA (July 19, 2022) – A suspected DUI driver caused a car accident that took place at an intersection in Yorba Linda and led to injuries on Tuesday morning, July 19.

The accident, according to officials, happened around 12:25 a.m. at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Casa Loma Avenue. A maroon Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south in the area when the driver suddenly struck several patrol vehicles that were stopped and making an unrelated arrest. The chain-reaction collision caused severe damage to all of the involved vehicles.

Due to the severity of the collision, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. Four deputies were injured as a result of the accident. The suspect involved in the accident was also hurt. The parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment but their current conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. The driver of the Silverado was arrested on suspected DUI charges.
