Southern California has some of the busiest and most dangerous roads in the country. Reckless and negligent driving is often the main contributing factor that causes accidents. The Los Angeles area is the most populated in California. The region has the longest commutes of any in California, and some of the longest in the country also. In California, drivers often speed and break other traffic rules to decrease their commute times and get to their destinations faster. Californians also commonly engage in other forms of negligent driving including distracted driving, texting while driving, impaired driving, speeding, fatigued driving, and failing to abide by traffic laws, such as stopping at traffic lights and stop signs. When drivers are driving in a negligent and risky manner, the chances of an accident increase dramatically.
