Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in California

Pedestrian accidents have some of the gravest outcomes, as pedestrians are especially vulnerable when involved in an accident with a motor vehicle. There is nothing to protect a pedestrian from an impact with a car. California has some of the most beautiful weather in the country, which may be why California also has more pedestrian accidents than any other state in the country. In 2018, California reported almost 900 pedestrian deaths from accidents with vehicles. This number has increased by 25 percent since 2014. And many additional pedestrian accidents caused serious injuries to the pedestrian.
